At Millhouses Dog Training
We will show you how to
Under Millhouses Dog Training I have been providing help for owners and their dogs for over 30 years, making Millhouses Dog Training one of the most established in Sheffield.
I aim to provide the highest quality help and education for dog owners, to achieve improved training and behaviour of their dogs, so that dogs and their owners can live happily together.
I am a full member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (www.apbc.org.uk/) and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (www.apdt.co.uk/). I regularly go on courses to update my knowledge and keep in touch with new thinking on dogs, their behaviour and training. I have recently been awarded a Masters degree in Anthrozoology with the University of Exeter; for my dissertation I examined the feasibility of companion dogs in public places. I am now beginning further research concerning dogs and their humans, including investigating the provision of education and training for them. This will hopefully lead to an M/Phil and then if all progresses well, to a PhD.
In addition to providing a training and behavioural service for people and their dogs, I am also the external examiner for Support Dogs (https://supportdogs.org.uk ), and the dog behavioural expert for BBC Radio Sheffield www.bbc.co.uk/radiosheffield, regularly contributing to their "dog" phone-ins.
